Douglas White is a Virginia lawyer who concentrates his practice primarily in the areas of criminal law and traffic defense. Mr. White joined Riley & Wells Attorneys-At-Law in 2016, primarily focusing on drafting legal memorandums, motions & pleadings, and researching and analyzing legal issues for the law firm’s criminal cases in both state and federal courts.
Before becoming an attorney, Mr. White participated extensively in trial advocacy in law school. He served as the Trial Advocacy Board President, was awarded the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association 2017 Trial Advocacy Award, and was admitted to the Order of Barristers. Mr. White also competed in the John L. Costello National Criminal Law Trial Competition and finished as a top-two defense team. Mr. White continues to remain active with the Richmond Law Trial Advocacy Board by judging competitions and coaching the external competition teams.
Prior to joining Riley & Wells Attorneys-At-Law, Mr. White completed internships with the United States Attorney’s Office in Roanoke, Virginia and in the Trial Defense Services for the United States Army at Fort Lee, Virginia.
