Terms of Court and General Information
- Civil & Criminal: January, March, May, July, September & November
- Terms shall begin the second Wednesday of January, March, May, July, September and November. If that Wednesday falls on a Legal Holiday, Term will be on the second Thursday.
- Grand jury will convene at 9:00 a.m. Civil term will be called at 10:30 a.m.
- Criminal Cases set on the first day of each term in January, March, May, July, September and November. Appearance by counsel and non-incarcerated defendant is required.
- All civil cases must be noticed for a term day docket call with appearance for the setting of a trial date. Civil term docket call is at 10:30 a.m.
- Motions are set by the Judge’s Office.
- Continuances are granted by the Judge, upon written motion and hearing unless waived by the Court.
- Commissioners in Chancery are utilized in general chancery causes and selectively in divorce suits.
